Authorities have apprehended and charged two men in connection with the recent robbery of a South Jersey bank. Cory Amerman, 32, from Marlton, and Admir Hoornaert, 48, from Glassboro, are now facing multiple charges, including first-degree robbery, according to a news release from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday when, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Amerman reportedly entered PNC Bank located at 803 Haddonfield Rd. in Cherry Hill. Allegedly, he passed a note to the bank employees, demanding money, and after receiving cash, fled the scene.
Following an investigation, authorities tracked down Amerman and Hoornaert in Camden City, taking both individuals into custody.
In addition to the first-degree robbery charges, Hoornaert faces additional charges, including receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
As of now, both Amerman and Hoornaert are being held in custody at the Camden County Correctional Facility. The charges reflect the swift response and commitment of law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of the community.
