The incident came to light when police responded to a reported crash at 3:29 p.m. on 1532 South 7th St. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered an individual with an apparent gunshot wound, as detailed by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).
The victim, identified as Jeremy Barron, a 52-year-old resident of Westville, was swiftly transported to Cooper University Hospital. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, Barron was pronounced dead at approximately 3:45 p.m., according to information provided by the CCPO.
