According to **Josh Bakan of Patch**, a popular sporting goods retailer is closing its Cherry Hill location. **Going, Going, Gone!**, which sells discounted sporting goods and apparel, is shutting down its store at **2130 Route 38** in Cherry Hill. The closure is part of a larger company move tied to the retailer’s parent brand, **Dick’s Sporting Goods**.

The company confirmed that the Cherry Hill store is expected to close in **August**, and a spokesperson said the decision follows Dick’s Sporting Goods’ plan to open a new **House of Sport** location nearby. That new concept store is set to open at the **Cherry Hill Mall in 2026**. The spokesperson said Going, Going, Gone! stores are often used to serve a market until a House of Sport location opens, after which the discount store may close.

Store employees told Patch that a closing sale is underway, with discounts reaching **up to 70 percent off**. The Cherry Hill location opened in **2021**.

As cited by Patch, Going, Going, Gone! offers clearance-style merchandise from brands sold by Dick’s Sporting Goods, including athletic footwear, clothing, and sports equipment. The chain operates as a discount outlet model under Dick’s corporate umbrella.

This Cherry Hill shutdown reflects a broader retail transition rather than a complete departure from the local market, since Dick’s is planning a larger-format replacement in the area. Customers looking for deals at the current store still have a limited window before the location closes later this summer.
