A unique culinary establishment that housed 10 restaurants under one roof has closed after two years of serving the Cherry Hill community.
Foodiehall, the Cherry Hill dining hall that brought together a variety of eateries, has permanently closed. The establishment, which opened in early 2022, shuttered its doors on Saturday. Owner Dan Goldberg announced the closure the day before.
“It is with mixed emotions that I’m announcing the closing of Foodiehall,” Goldberg wrote. “This has been a difficult decision, and we are sad to say goodbye.”
Foodiehall was a novel concept, offering a range of dining options from cheesesteaks to Asian fusion to Mexican street food, all prepared in a shared kitchen. The idea was conceived early in the pandemic as an “eRestaurant,” with a focus on takeout and delivery. Last summer, Foodiehall expanded to include a seating area for dine-in service.
The reasons for the closure were not immediately clear. However, Goldberg expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the venture:
“I would like to thank our staff, past and present, for being such an important part of our business. Without you, there wouldn’t have been a Foodiehall. In 2021, we set out to create a delivery and takeout-only, multi-concept food hall that would change how people viewed food delivery. With the help of several talented culinary professionals, a sophisticated ordering system and tech stack, and plenty of support from Foodiehall fans, we accomplished that. I want to thank everyone who has dined with us, whether it was delivery, take-out, dine-in, catering, or walk-ins.”
Foodiehall was located at 1931 Olney Ave. While its closure marks the end of a unique dining experience in Cherry Hill, the community will remember the innovative concept that brought diverse culinary delights under one roof.
