Tragedy struck on Saturday night in Camden as a man fell victim to a fatal shooting, according to officials. The incident, which unfolded just after 9 p.m., prompted several 911 calls reporting the shooting at the intersection of 10th and Mechanic Streets, as detailed by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office (CCPO).

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered Jamal Scott, a 48-year-old resident of Camden, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Swiftly, Scott was rushed to Cooper University Hospital, where, regrettably, he was pronounced dead mere minutes later.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation by the CCPO. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the case.
