Fresh off their victory in the East Region Tournament, the Cherry Hill Atlantic 16U baseball team is gearing up for the Senior League World Series in Easley, South Carolina. Their first game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, and ESPN+ will be broadcasting the action.

Team Manager Christian Carkeek expressed the players’ excitement, saying, “Every kid watches the Little League World Series on TV imagining one day they will be there, and these 16 boys now have their chance. We’re champions of New Jersey. We’re champions of the East region. We’d like to be champions of the world.”

To secure their spot in the World Series, the Cherry Hill team, representing New Jersey, displayed immense determination in the East Region Tournament held in Bangor, Maine. After a challenging loss to Pennsylvania, they bounced back and secured three consecutive wins in just two days, including two revenge victories over Pennsylvania on Monday, July 24. The final game was a thrilling walk-off win in extra innings, earning them an impressive 5-1 record in the East Region tournament.

Cherry Hill Atlantic has been propelled by stellar pitching and a formidable hitting lineup, securing 14 out of 15 postseason victories this summer.

The team’s journey to the prestigious Senior League World Series in Easley will be a swift one, as these 15- and 16-year-old players and their coaches will be flying from Newark on Thursday, July 27.

At the World Series, the winning team from the U.S bracket will face off against the victor of the International bracket in a 12-team tournament to determine the best Senior League Baseball team in the world. All the games will be televised on ESPN+.

The Senior League World Series is among the prestigious tournaments sponsored by Little League International, and Cherry Hill Atlantic is determined to make its community proud.
