Cherry Hill authorities announced on Thursday that two men involved in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver have been apprehended and charged.
The incident unfolded just after 9:30 p.m. on February 3 in the parking lot of 100 Park Blvd. A pizza delivery driver, in the midst of making a delivery, was confronted by two men wielding a handgun, as reported by the police.
The assailants demanded the victim surrender the contents of his pockets, including the keys to his vehicle. However, their attempts to locate the victim’s vehicle were unsuccessful, prompting them to flee the scene, leaving the victim unharmed, according to law enforcement sources.
Following a thorough investigation, police successfully identified both suspects. Hakiem White, 35, of Philadelphia, and Saivon Norman, 25, of Collingswood, now face charges of first-degree carjacking and robbery.
In an additional development, Norman has been accused of a separate incident involving the theft of an unlocked vehicle from a Haddonfield parking lot the previous week. He was taken into custody last Friday in connection with this incident.
The swift actions of law enforcement have resulted in the apprehension of the suspects, bringing a sense of relief to the community and highlighting the commitment to ensuring public safety. The diligence of the police force serves as a reminder that criminal activity will not go unchecked, and those responsible will be held accountable for their actions.
