On Tuesday afternoon, a tree-service truck collided with a dentist’s office, leading to the closure of a section of the roadway for several hours. The driver, as per police information provided to Patch, sustained non-fatal injuries and was transported to the hospital.
The incident unfolded around 12:45 p.m. when the driver lost control of the vehicle while heading eastbound on Route 70 near S Kings Highway, according to Cherry Hill Police Lt. Thomas Leone. Subsequently, the vehicle veered off the road and impacted the front of the building situated at 101 Route 70 East.
This address corresponds to Lakeview Dental Care of Cherry Hill. Photographs released by the Cherry Hill Fire Department depict the front of the vehicle pressed against the building.
Although the engine compartment of the vehicle caught fire, the Cherry Hill Fire Department promptly extinguished the flames.
Cherry Hill’s building inspector conducted an assessment of the property damage at the scene.
The Cherry Hill Police Department’s Traffic Unit is actively investigating the incident, and as of Wednesday morning, no additional public information regarding the matter is available.
