A Camden County man is fighting for his life after a serious crash on Tuesday morning in Ocean County, according to authorities.
Jeremy D. Bier, 42, from Pennsauken, sustained extensive injuries when his pickup truck veered off the road, hit multiple trees, and overturned in Manchester. Emergency responders flew him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for urgent care.
The accident occurred around 10:35 a.m. on Horicon Avenue, about half a mile east of Route 530.
Investigators found that Bier was driving a 2020 Toyota Tacoma westbound on Horicon Avenue when he lost control, crossed the center line, and left the roadway. The truck struck several trees before rotating 180 degrees, overturning, and coming to a stop on its driver’s side in the eastbound lane.
According to Manchester Police Lt. Albert Vega, the investigation is ongoing. However, initial findings suggest that failure to maintain the lane and not wearing a seatbelt were major factors in the crash.
