Prepare your taste buds, Cherry Hill, because a Nashville-hot sensation is coming your way! South Jersey’s inaugural Dave’s Hot Chicken location is gearing up for its grand opening on April 5, promising a fiery addition to Cherry Hill’s dynamic chicken landscape.

In recent months, Cherry Hill has witnessed significant shifts in its chicken offerings, from the arrival of Raising Cane’s to the departure of PDQ and the relocation of Chick-fil-A. Now, Dave’s Hot Chicken is poised to make its mark as the town’s exclusive destination for Nashville hot chicken aficionados.

Situated at 22 Route 70 within the bustling Ellisburg Circle Shopping Center, Dave’s Hot Chicken is set to tantalize palates with its signature jumbo, Nashville-style hot chicken sliders, alongside mouthwatering sides like house-made kale slaw, creamy mac and cheese, and seasoned french fries. Adventurous diners can choose from seven spice levels, ranging from the mild “No Spice” to the daring “Reaper,” which comes with its own signed waiver.

The roots of Dave’s Hot Chicken trace back to a humble parking lot pop-up in East Hollywood, California, where four friends pooled together $900 to kickstart their flavorful venture. Despite starting with just one item on the menu—a hot chicken combo plate—their street-food stand quickly gained popularity, drawing crowds that sometimes lined up around the block.

Since then, Dave’s Hot Chicken has experienced exponential growth, expanding across California and capturing the attention of none other than rapper Drake, who became a notable investor in 2021. Recognized by research firm Technomic as “America’s Fastest Growing Restaurant Chain,” Dave’s has flourished, boasting 170 locations nationwide as of November, with 69 openings within a single year.

With plans to open six additional South Jersey locations in the next five years, Dave’s Hot Chicken is poised to satisfy cravings far and wide. While specific locations are yet to be announced, the chain’s rapid expansion is a testament to its widespread appeal and culinary prowess.

In Cherry Hill, the hot chicken haven will welcome guests from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. So mark your calendars, chicken enthusiasts, because the grand opening of Dave’s Hot Chicken promises to be a flavor-packed affair you won’t want to miss!
