Daniel Cezair, a sophomore at Cherry Hill East High School, has been chosen to participate in an exclusive piano master class led by world-renowned pianist Marina Lomazov. The master class, hosted by the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey, promises an enriching experience for budding musicians and music enthusiasts alike.
Scheduled for Saturday, March 16, at 11 am, the master class will take place at Cunningham Piano Company, situated at 1724A Marlton Pike East, Cherry Hill, NJ. Alongside two other exceptional local piano students, Daniel will have the opportunity to showcase his talents and receive personalized guidance from Ms. Lomazov.
Daniel’s musical journey began at the age of 4 when he started taking piano lessons, later adding the violin to his repertoire at 11. Despite his young age, the 16-year-old is deeply involved in the local music scene. He is an active member of the Marching Band, serves on the board of EMC—a student-led charity supporting music education in Cherry Hill elementary schools—and regularly accompanies school choral groups. Daniel’s dedication to music extends beyond his school commitments; he is a member of the South Jersey Orchestra and has participated in numerous piano competitions. Additionally, he devotes his summers to studying at the prestigious Philadelphia International Music Camp and Festival.
Joining forces with Marina Lomazov, a distinguished figure in classical music, offers aspiring musicians like Daniel a rare opportunity to glean insights and inspiration from a renowned pianist. The master class promises to unveil the collaborative process behind nurturing exceptional musicianship, bridging generational gaps in the realm of classical music.
Reflecting on the significance of this event, Elura Nanos, President of PSNJ’s Board, expressed excitement about the chance for students to learn from one of the world’s finest pianists. The master class serves as a testament to PSNJ’s commitment to fostering musical talent within the community.
