The repair work, slated to commence on Monday, will be centered around Springdale Farm Market. Camden County officials anticipate the repairs to take one to two weeks to complete. Due to the nature of the emergency repairs, the affected section of Springdale Road will experience 24/7 closures.
Both northbound lanes toward Route 70 will be shut down during this period, prohibiting any traffic from traveling on Springdale Road beyond Justa Lane. However, provisions have been made for local access between Kresson Road and Justa Lane, ensuring that residents and businesses in the immediate area can still navigate the affected zone.
For southbound traffic on Springdale Road heading toward Kresson Road, a single lane will be open, allowing for limited movement during the repair period. Commissioner Al Dyer emphasized the significance of Springdale Road as a major county thoroughfare, acknowledging that the closure might disrupt the normal flow of traffic.
Local access will be maintained for key institutions along Springdale Road, including the Katz JCC Community Center, the Jewish Federation of South Jersey, St. Thomas More Church, and the Saltzman House, according to information from Cherry Hill’s municipal government. Several schools in close proximity will also be affected.
