Cherry Hill residents can look forward to a trio of new dining options arriving in the next few months, introducing diverse culinary experiences to the community. The upcoming additions include two fast-casual establishments renowned for their chicken offerings—Raising Cane’s and Dave’s Hot Chicken—along with Tommy’s Tavern + Tap, a family-oriented restaurant chain.
Here’s a glimpse of when each eatery is expected to open its doors:
1. Raising Cane’s
Location: 2014 Route 70 W at Garden State Park
The Louisiana-based Raising Cane’s, celebrated for its delectable chicken tenders and Southern-inspired menu, is making its way from the South to South Jersey. Having recently launched its first two locations in the region—in Burlington and Marlton—with additional sites in the pipeline, Cherry Hill could be next on the list, anticipating a March 5 opening.
2. Tommy’s Tavern + Tap
Location: 2050 Route 70 W at Garden State Park
Taking over the former Houlihan’s site, Tommy’s Tavern + Tap is breathing new life into the space. Although an official opening date for the Cherry Hill venue is yet to be announced, ownership informed Patch last month that they are targeting the end of March. Tommy’s Tavern boasts a diverse menu, offering everything from pizza to flatbreads, sushi, and an array of beverages, catering to a wide range of tastes. With ten locations, including eight in New Jersey, Tommy’s Tavern has become a popular choice for families.
3. Dave’s Hot Chicken
Location: Ellisburg Circle Shopping Center, Route 70 and Kings Highway
Joining the hot chicken trend, Dave’s Hot Chicken is set to make its mark in Cherry Hill. The rapidly expanding chain is known for its jumbo, Nashville-style hot chicken sliders, along with house-made kale slaw, creamy mac and cheese, and seasoned french fries. The Cherry Hill restaurant will be located at a pad site in the Ellisburg Shopping Center, adjacent to Dunkin Donuts along Kings Highway, with an expected opening in the spring.
