Cherry Hill residents may soon see a new addition to the local landscape as Dr. Shammi Dhawan, a dedicated local practitioner, proposes the establishment of a comprehensive veterinary-care center at the former site of a women’s health clinic.
The property, located at 13 W Ordmond Rd, previously housed the Pregnancy Care Center, specifically the Options for Women clinic. In May, Dr. Dhawan acquired the space with plans to bring vital veterinary services to the community.
The original pregnancy-care clinic has since relocated to Marlton Pike, adopting the name Options for Her to continue its mission in a new location.
Dr. Dhawan’s vision for the veterinary clinic is set to undergo review at the upcoming Cherry Hill Zoning Board meeting scheduled for Thursday. The proposed facility aims to offer a wide spectrum of veterinary services, covering everything from medicine and surgery to dentistry and urgent care.
It’s important to note that the vet center will not include boarding or kenneling services, as these would necessitate additional zoning approvals. Dr. Dhawan envisions a space dedicated to urgent and wellness care for beloved pets, fostering a welcoming environment for both animals and their owners.
Stay tuned for updates on this exciting project, as the Cherry Hill community eagerly anticipates the potential transformation of the former women’s health clinic into a state-of-the-art veterinary-care center.
